Our RCS Series solar hot water system is exclusive to Solahart.
It features an open-circuit split-system solar hot water heater with roof mounted slimline collectors and a tank that be can be installed on the ground. This feature gives you more flexibility than a traditional roof-mounted solar hot water system when it comes to selecting the installation location.
The solar collectors are mounted on your roof and feature a low profile for a clean look. The tank can be mounted at ground level in a discreet, out-of-sight location.
We’ll help you select a suitable location as part of our free on-site solar assessment.
Choosing a split-system such as the RCS Series by Solahart allows you to maximise the potential savings by heating your hot water from the sun whilst also minimising the visual impact.
These open-circuit systems have enhanced recirculating freeze protection(‡), utilising an electronically controlled back-up frost element for cold weather conditions. They can be installed at altitudes up to 600m.
An RCS07X series system with CSA2007 collectors is recommended for an installation between 400m and 600m altitude, in preference to an RLX series system.
The RCS Series is designed to perform at it's best in low to medium solar gain areas.
The system has enhanced frost protection designed to guard against freeze conditions.
Enjoy a 10-Year Cylinder Warranty from Solahart Australia for total peace of mind.
Electric or gas boost options are available. The electric boosted models are equipped with an in-tank element. Alternatively the system can be installed as a pre-heater with an inline Solahart gas booster water heater.
Water heating energy use may be reduced by up to 65% to 75% and could save up to 1.5 to 2.9 tonnes of CO2 emissions per annum when replacing an electric water heater.^
The RCS Series Solar Hot Water Heater is available in two sizes.
The two sizes avaible are: 270 litres and 320 litres.
The RCS series is available with Solahart’s CSA2007 solar collectors to harvest the sun’s heat and transfer it to the water. The high efficiency Australian designed CSA2007 Envelope collector with its sputtered selective surface copper absorber plate is suitable for use in lower solar gain areas.
Examples of times when you benefit from a home battery are:
We’ll calculate the savings specific to your energy needs as part of our free in-home solar assessment.
The 320 litre RCS Series Solar Hot Water Heater by Solahart is 1,640 mm high, 640 mm wide and 680 mm deep.
The smaller 270 litre RCS Series Solar Hot Water Heater by Solahart is 1,395 mm high, 640 mm wide and 680 mm deep.
Yes, the RCS Series Solar Hot Water Heater is designed to perform in colder climates.
These systems feature a level of enhanced recirculating freeze protection utilising an electronically controlled back-up frost element for cold weather conditions.
The RCS Series Solar Hot Water Heater is covered by a 10-year tank warranty, from Solahart, for peace of mind.
The Solahart Warranty Details are: 10/3/2 warranty; 10 year cylinder and collector supply, 3 year cylinder and collector labour, 2 year parts supply including labour; applies to a single family domestic dwelling only. All other applications have a 3/1/1/1 warranty; 3 year cylinder and collector supply, 1 year parts supply, 1 year labour.
We’ll explain these further during the free in-home assessment.
When you upgrade to solar, the Solahart RCS Series Solar Hot Water Heater is eligible for Small-Scale Technology Certificates (STCs), helping you reduce the up-front cost of your solar upgrade. (2)
We can explain all available incentives during our on-site solar assessment.
This hot water tank is suitable for indoor and outdoor installations.
The collectors will be installed on your roof.
We will discuss installation location at our on-site solar assessment.

We look forward to assisting you further.
^Energy savings of up to 65% to 75% shown are based on Australian Government approved TRNSYS simulation modelling of a Solahart 322RLX and 322RCS07X and using a medium load in Zone 3 and apply when replacing an electric water heater. Any savings will vary depending upon your location, type of Solahart system installed, orientation and inclination of the solar collectors, type of water heater being replaced, hot water consumption and fuel tariff. Maximum financial savings off your hot water bill are achievable when replacing an electric water heater on a continuous tariff. Refer to solahart.com.au for more information.
(2)Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs) are a financial benefit to encourage the installation of solar and heat pump water heaters provided under a Federal Government legislated scheme. STCs financial benefit value is subject to change. Your installation may be eligible when upgraded to solar.
(3) Solahart Warranty Details: 10/3/2 warranty; 10 year cylinder and collector supply, 3 year cylinder and collector labour, 2 year parts supply including labour; applies to a single family domestic dwelling only. All other applications have a 3/1/1/1 warranty; 3 year cylinder and collector supply, 1 year parts supply, 1 year labour.
